Ok I have to admit, I really didn’t know what to do with her after the batteries were put in. I was supposed to review the Thumbelina from Vibratex over a month ago…but batteries ain’t cheap and until sex toy companies provide batteries with review toys, sometimes it may cause for a delay.

Right now I’m at my laptop listening to a mega mix of music that I made for the NYC Sex Bloggers Calendar Launch Party. Blur’s “Girls & Boys” is playing in the background..how appropo.

I turned her on just a few moments ago and my first reaction was “OH S*%T“. Yes I don’t always have the most classy of responses but that is what came out.

The Thumbelina gets a few points already from me and she hasn’t even taken me yet. First I would like to respond on the tagline. I’m REALLY into tagline’s and the Thumbelina does not disappoint!

The second set of kudos goes to it’s color. I love the color purple so automatically it is a win.

Before I give this girl a action pack of my own, I would like to point out the following.

• It’s Designed with women in mind (clearly with the cute warm fuzzies that it bestows it’s user)
• 100% Elastometer PEOPLES!! That means no latex or phthalates!! Yay for no vagina burn!
• Crafted in Japan (things from japan are just so much cooler than other places!!) but that also means that it’s crafted with high-quality materials, motors and gears. Japanese people know robots…and godzilla..enough said!

Oh and the power pack is easy to use and opens and closes with ease, it also does not come loose. It requires 4 AAA batteries and I could sit here and tell you to use the high-quality brands or Babeland (also babeland’s batteries are REALLY good) but hey, head over to your nearest dollar store and splurge…it’s a recession for crying out loud!

Ok ok…enough staring….i’m getting down to business.

Ok it felt good but for me it wasn’t enough to get off. However I am used to thick dildo’s, fists and general girth so for users who like something a bit slimmer, than you will definately like this one. The length of this product is only 3 inches with the width at 1 inch. I think this product would work better for me if it were 2 inches or thicker. Though I may want to try this toy as an anal toy. The Elastometer would provide it’s protection but I would probably put a condom on it or a vinyl glove just to be on the safe side.

The vibration was good but I’m so spoiled using my hitachi magic wand. Though if given the right setting with my play partner, I’m sure it could do wonders.

What’s good about this product is that it has dual controls. This means you can use both the vibrating end and the stimulating rotating shaft either simultaneously or however you please.  Vibratex is also the maker of the “Rabbit Habbit” which many of you  may recognize from that famous episode of “Sex And The City”. Mind you my daily kegel exercises have already broken 2 of them in the past few years that I have used similar products…yes…my vagina…broke..two rabbits. You can even quote me on that!

Also think of this as the recessionista version of the Rabbit Habbit which retails for $90. The Thumbelina retails for only $40 so it makes a great gift for playtime in the bedroom…or in the last car of the A train at 4 in the morning. Also the shaft makes for some good G-Spot attention, and that is never a bad thing!

Ok so for me it gets 3 out of 5 nipples

I could use stars..but i prefer nipples. So that is my new toy review rating system!

But don’t let me detract you from buying it. It is GREAT for newcomers to the world of sex toys and for mutual play. Plus supporting Babeland means supporting woman-owned businesses…and boy oh boy has this business THRIVED over the  years!!!
